Sheesham Direct – Shipping FAQ
If you have questions about any of our products or the status of your order, please feel free to contact us by phone or complete our short contact form and a representative will get back to you as soon as possible. If you have a question about an order you have just placed, please keep in mind that it usually takes 48 to 72 hours before orders are processed.
Shipping FAQ
Upon making a purchase, how long is it before my order is shipped?
It usually takes 48 to 72 hours before an order is processed. Depending on your UK address, it can take up to 3 weeks for delivery of your order. We will email you when we have the item ready for dispatch. We will then organise a delivery day that suits you.
What if I live in the Highlands or Islands?

The average cost of small items to BT postcodes is approximately £19 – next day with tracking. The average cost of a pallet delivery is £60. Please contact us on 01619287555 or 08456520479 and we can organise the delivery and payment by card over the phone.
Do you accept orders outside the UK?
Occasionally, we can organise deliveries to Southern Ireland. However, at this time, we do not accept other international orders.
What will the delivery time be?
Small to Medium Furniture (Shipping rate A to C) – we cannot give an exact delivery time. The item can be delivered anytime between 7.30 and 17.30 on your chosen day. The driver will need a signature. The carrier will attempt the delivery twice. They will leave a card after the first attempt and you can phone them directly and rearrange the delivery to suit you. Otherwise, the second attempt will be the next day (excluding Saturdays). After that you must collect the item from the assigned depot within 5 working days.
Large Furniture (Shipping rate D and E) – these items will be palletised. We will provide a number for you to call on the morning of the delivery. They will give you an estimated three hour slot, morning or afternoon. This is technically a kerbside delivery. Therefore, the driver will only drop the pallet to your door. You are then responsible for moving the furniture from the pallet inside your home. We generally find that the driver will help but this at the drivers discretion on the day. If asked, he will take the pallet away.
Can I pick a delivery day?
Yes you can choose a specific delivery day (Monday to Friday). Please include your preference when placing your order. Please give us as much notice as possible. Otherwise contact us on 01619287555 or 08456520479 before placing your order and we can help you organise it.

Where will my order be shipped from?
Our Sheesham products are imported from Jodhpur (Rajastan) in India and then shipped from our warehouse in Cheshire, UK. All items are thoroughly checked before being shipped.
What if I order a product and it is not in stock?
If your order is out of stock, we will contact you either by phone or email to let you know what the estimated waiting time will be. As our products are imported from India, out of stock items can take between 8-12 weeks to arrive at our warehouse. If you have questions about the status of your order, please feel free to contact us.
What is your return policy?
Once your order is delivered, any damage to your product must be reported to us, in writing or by phone, within 24 hours. If possible please provide pictures.
Please note that the phones will only be answered in normal working hours 9am-6pm.
If you change your mind and wish to return the goods, within the seven day cooling off period, you must pay for the return of the goods. Notice of cancellation must be in writing, either by email or to our address in Cheshire. Please contact us and we can help arrange the return.
Deposits for Made to Measure items are non refundable.
Do you do custom made products?
This service has been temporarily suspended due to a business re-organisation. We will update the website when we are undertaking this service again.
